The Hays County Local Health Department reports six new COVID-19-related fatalities Jan. 15, three San Marcos women in their 80s, one San Marcos man in his 30s, one Kyle woman in her 30s and one Dripping Springs man in his 80s. There have been a total of 154 fatalities in the county.

Note: Due to a "technical issue", The Hays County Local Health Department released a condensed version of its COVID-19 report Jan. 11. An updated report was released Jan. 12 which states 106 additional people are now recovered.

The Hays County Local Health Department reports 44 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and zero recoveries Jan. 7, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 11,335, total active cases to 1,698 and recoveries to 9,500. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 2,336.
