Texas State women's tennis revealed its schedule for the 2020-21 season Sept. 30, a list full of big-name opponents.

The Bobcats will begin the fall season with the Texas A&M Invitational Oct. 16-18 in College Station. The tournament will include several other notable programs, including LSU and the University of Texas.

Following the A&M Invitational tournament, Texas State will close out the shortened fall season with a doubleheader against Lamar University in Beaumont.

The Bobcats will begin the spring season with two home games, first against Stephen F. Austin Feb. 5, followed by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Feb. 7. After a road trip to the University of the Incarnate Word Feb. 13, Texas State will have five straight home games leading up to an away game against UT March 12.

The Bobcats will only play three Sun Belt Conference games before the Sun Belt Tournament. First will be Arkansas State March 20, then UT Arlington March 28 and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette April 3.

Nine of the 18 spring games will take place in San Marcos.

The season will conclude with the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Peach Tree, Georgia April 15-18.

Last season, Texas State finished eighth in the Sun Belt, posting a 5-5 record with no conference games, before the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19.

All eight players from last season are returning, including doubles tandem seniors Rishona Israel-Lewis and Hana Kvapilova who were ranked No. 62 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Graduate student Nikita Pradeep is the only addition to the team. Pradeep was named to the 2018-19 Big West Conference First Team. In 2019, she went 15-1 in singles matches and was 6-0 in conference matches.
